Beside the bugs that Vio and Mr. Monopoly found on MonopolyCityStreets.com, this days i've found another one. I've made an offer to an owner for a street. As the game rules, the owner of the street must give an answer in 7 days. after that, the street goes to the bidder. I've just wait for a favorite answer, but ...nothing. When the regular time has expired, the street still remains to his owner. I've checked the street, and I've still appear as the last player that made an offer for that street.
Now I wait for the administrators of MCS to solve the bug.
Here is the blog post from their blog:
"We are aware that some of you have been experiencing issues with streets that have offers attached to them. This is due to corrupt data which occurred when one of our databases went offline. We’ve tried fixing this without interrupting your game play, however to correct some inconsistencies we need to take the game offline for maintenance.
We expect the maintenance window to last between 4 – 8 hours from 8am, GMT Monday 26 October. During this maintenance window we will conduct a full review of the current data set to identify any inconsistencies.
There are 2 main inconsistencies we have identified with the current data set that we will resolve.
Firstly there are some streets that have been involved in the offer process that are currently in a state of 'limbo’. In this state you can see a street in your portfolio, you own it, but you cannot currently build on it. Once we have run our repairs you will be able to build again.
Secondly, some players own a street but it is not appearing in their property list, again due to lost data from database downtime.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve the game."
We opened up a new section on our site called bugs in monopoly city streets. This section is located at this address: Forum/Categories/Monopoly City Streets/Bugs
Login and let us know what other bugs you found. In the meantime check these two interesting things:
Las Vegas/San Francisco - A 19-year-old Norwegian won the world Monopoly championship Thursday after his main opponent from New Zealand went bankrupt by landing on two expensive properties, game maker Hasbro announced. Bjorn Halvard Knappskog won 20,580 dollars in real money for his victory - the equivalent of the bank in the standard Monopoly game.
Knappskog was seeded 16th in the competition and had to overcome three former world champions for his win. In the final game, he played against competitors from the United States, Russia and New Zealand and beat them by building heavily on his properties, allowing him to charge high rent when the other players landed on them. "This was the best game in the tournament for me," said Knappskog. "This is my first professional tournament, and it was fun just to be here. I was really happy to be here whether I won or lost, but I'm also very happy to have won."
Hi Everyone,
First of all thank you for visiting our website. As you can see we have developed a website which should gather around all the monopoly players from around the globe. However this is not the only purpose of the website. Today I'm going to reveal you the whole plan we're having here, and going to ask for your opinions, regarding what should be done next.
On October 15th Hasbro sent an open letter to everyone saying that they didn't expected this game to be so big as it is right now, that they expected to have this game up only for 4 months, so they can promote the board game.
This is understandable even if it's a lie. I mean, how can you say something like that when you have google promoting your website, and you make so much publicity. What did you think, that people who will join your game will just take a look and then close their accounts? Especially since this is and addictive game.
On monopoly city streets, one of the most important thing is to protect your street. You can do this by the chance cards received by you from time to time. You can build a school or a stadium and your street will be protected.
However, another chance card, will demolish your building, so it's very important for you to build more than one building. I usually keep around 9 buildings/street because there's a very small possibility for someone to get 9 chance cards to demolish all of them.
So, you managed to raise a nice fortune, let's say about 10-15 million/day and you want to improve your fortune.
Here are some tips.
I'm going to share you stuffs from my experience, or better, how to get to 7 billion in one month max.
So as you know, the first thing you need to do when you join MonopolyCityStreets is to buy a Street. They usually tell you that you can buy a street from your own city, but in most of the time this isn't possible. So start searching for a street.
Welcome to our site. This is the best community for monopoly players and not only. If you wanted to find a place where you can enjoy the best time with people with the same passions as you, then you're on the right place.
